3 Class Options:

#1:  Sunday, July 27, 2025.    Check-in:  5:40 PM.  Class:  6:00 - 9:00 PM

#2:  Sunday, August 10, 2025.  Check-in:  2:40 PM.  Class:  3:00 - 6:00 PM

#3:  Monday, August 11, 2025    Check-in:  5:40 PM.  Class:  6:00 - 9:00 PM

 

WHO should attend the training classes?
* Level 1 Referee = NEW... Fall 2025 season will be their first experience as a referee

* Level 2 Referee = Returning official with 1-2 seasons of OYAA Soccer ref experience

 

* Level 3 Referee = Returning official with 3+ seasons of OYAA Soccer ref experience AND/OR refs who earned USSF grassroots (or higher) certification.

WHO is eligible?
-- A referees must attend 1 class to be eligible to officiate games
-- A referee must be 12 years old (or older) by Friday, August 22, 2025

NOTE:  Level 3 referees must attend only the LAST hour of a class to be eligible for the Fall 2025 season.  During this time, the OYAA soccer ref instructor will discuss Laws of Game modifications for the rec soccer experience, how to register for games, and how payroll is processed.

Referee Shirts & Whistles
* OYAA Referee Shirts -  available for purchase after training class, Cost is $12.00. Referees who have a black OYAA referee shirt from past seasons do not need to purchase another shirt.  Certified USSF referees may wear their referee shirt (and badge) and you do not need an OYAA issued referee shirt.

* Whistles - Fox40 Classic whistle will be available for purchase. Cost is $6.00

Game Signup
Schedules will be posted on the ArbiterSports website for referees to pick dates, times and locations that work for their personal schedules. Referees will learn how to create an account and sign up for games as part of the training classes.
