2025 SEASON
Welcome to the OYAA Baseball Program page. We are happy to announce that OYAA will be partnering with Delaware City Parks and Recreation to offer a combined league that will expand each division and provide an improved experience for players and families, with games and practices scheduled for Liberty Park, Shanahan middle school, Alum Creek elementary school, Mingo Park, and other locations in the Olentangy/Delaware area.
Registration
- Opens: February 1

Eligibility
- Minimum age: 5 years old on or before April 30
- Registration system automatically places boys in the appropriate division based on age

6U T-Ball/Coach Pitch
Fee: $120 with early bird discount
Coordinator: TBD
Rules: T-Ball Rules
Description: Introduction to baseball in a fun, safe, and supportive team environment. Uses a combination of coach pitch and hitting from a tee.
Equipment needed: Baseball glove, helmet, USA Baseball bat, molded cleats (soccer or football cleats are fine for this age). OYAA provides a jersey, pants, socks, hat, baseballs, and a team bat.
Schedule:

- Practices start: Week of 4/20/2025
- Games start: Week of 5/18/2025
- Make-up games: Fridays and Sundays (no Sunday games before noon)
- Season: 1 or 2 weekday games and 1 Saturday game over 6 playing weeks (up to 14 total games)
- No games: Memorial Day weekend or June 6-8, 2025
- Picture day: Early June
- Season concludes: June 27, 2025
Team formation: By school attendance areas as much as possible. Requests to play for a coach or with another player will be considered but not guaranteed.
8U Coach Pitch
Fee: $130 with early bird discount
Coordinator: TBD
Rules: 8U Rules
Description: Coaches continue teaching fundamental skills for further development.
Equipment needed: Baseball glove, helmet, USA Baseball bat, molded cleats (soccer or football cleats are fine for this age). OYAA provides a jersey, pants, socks, hat, baseballs, and a team bat.

Description: Focus on strategy and team play with further refinement of fundamental skills. Played on 65' bases and 46' mounds.
Equipment needed: Baseball glove, helmet, USA Baseball bat, molded baseball cleats, and protective cup. OYAA provides a jersey, pants, socks, hat, baseballs, and a team bat.
Schedule:

- Evaluations: Saturday, April 5, 2025 (all players must attend)
- Draft: Date to be confirmed after evaluations
- Practices start: As early as 4/14/2025
- Games start: Week of 5/12/2025
- Make-up games: Fridays and Sundays (no Sunday games before noon)
- Season: 1 or 2 weekday games and 1 Saturday game per week (up to 16 total games)
- No games: Memorial Day weekend or June 6-8, 2025
- Picture day: Early June
- Season concludes: June 20, 2025

13U Majors

Description: Fun, competitive, and higher quality baseball. Played on 70' bases with 50' mounds.
Equipment needed: Baseball glove, helmet, USA Baseball bat, molded baseball cleats, and protective cup. OYAA provides a jersey, pants, socks, hat, and baseballs.
