2026 Season

The goal of the OYAA Volleyball program is to teach players fundamental skills in a fun, stress-free environment; to promote the great sport of volleyball. Additionally the OYAA Volleyball program works with the entire Olentangy district in developing players who will eventually play at our local Olentangy middle and high school programs.

Registration opens June 1; fee is $135 during early bird registration. Optional Mintonette clinic fee is extra (read preseason clinic info below), paid directly to Mintonette at the clinic.

Current players wearing their OYAA volleyball jersey will be admitted free with a paying adult.

4th and 5th grades (combined)

6th grade

Enrollment numbers and volunteer coaches' availability will dictate actual structure. It may be necessary to create teams with players from different grade levels. Requests for ONE friend/teammate will be considered when possible. OYAA cannot track requests via email. Please include any requests in the player registration.

Coaching Opportunities:

Interested in volunteering to coach? Register using the volunteer registration link above. Attend the preseason clinic at Mintonette on (date TBD) for practice drills and ideas.

Preseason Clinic:

Mintonette Sports will host a preseason clinic on July 23, 5 - 6:30 pm with a discounted fee of $30/child for OYAA. Please indicate intent to attend in your OYAA registration. Fee will be collected at a later time (TBD). OYAA volleyball coaches are encouraged to attend at no additional charge.

Practices:

Each team will practice one night a week for 75 minutes at Fieldhouse USA (Polaris Mall) beginning mid-August. Assigned timeslots cannot be guaranteed prior to team formation. Possible practice times are Mondays or Thursdays at 6:00 or 7:15 pm.

Games:

Multiple courts at Fieldhouse USA (Polaris Mall) with bleacher seating for spectators; mid-August to early October. Games are scheduled for Sunday afternoons.

Jerseys:
Players' jerseys are included in the registration fee. Reference size chart here.
In addition to the jersey, players will need to wear black shorts of your choice and volleyball knee pads are highly suggested. Shorts and knee pads are NOT included in the registration fee.
