The Olentangy Youth Athletic Association (OYAA) is proud to provide up to eight (8) $2,000 scholarships to the 2026 graduating senior(s) from Olentangy High School, Olentangy Berlin High School, Olentangy Liberty High School, and Olentangy Orange High School.

The Jerry Rocco Memorial Scholarship is in memory Gerald Alan “Jerry” Rocco. Jerry was blessed with an enormous zest for life and a joyful sense of humor. Jerry engaged in life with an open heart and genuine interest in everyone he met. He made friends everywhere he went, maintaining and cherishing those relationships all of his life. Jerry lived in Powell and spent many years coaching OYAA Soccer and Basketball. He served on the OYAA Board of Trustee’s for eleven years; seven of those years as the President. Jerry’s commitment and leadership to OYAA will forever be woven on the fabric of OYAA.

The scholarship is awarded to eligible high school seniors, as determined by the selection criteria described below, and by their acceptance into any post-secondary education program. The award is intended to serve students who have participated in OYAA activities in some capacity during their lives. This is a one-time award paid directly to the institution of higher learning that the students choose to attend.
